In varying seasons of life, I’ve gotten up before the sun to work on ‘free draw’, an ongoing series for exercising compositional liberties and craft-consciousness in the discipline of drawing.

The work spends sensibility on the nonsensible, sometimes affording meaning in the meaninglessness, but - most of the time - not.

The process includes phases ranging all the way from unintentional gesture to compulsive perfectionism.

The images are always made of colorless mixed media of highly varied values that comment on relationships of the seemingly unrelated.
