The single-leg steel base of each desk is exposed between the white oak planks of the desktop and mimics the steel frames of the building itself. \n\nThe desktops' butcher block surfaces were all made up of four-inch wide rift-sawn boards, and each is finished with semi-transparent gray stain. \n\nThe exposed steel spine and fasteners are held 1/16” below the top surface of the adjacent wood,
